University Honda XL403

 

Here are a couple of pics of the University Honda (Seattle) XL403 that Buck Murphy was to ride in the Puyallup Trans-AMA race.  They said it weighed 222 lbs. with oil/no gas.  This was the inspiration for my SCF 486. Note the center ported head.  This started as a side port engine.

TIP: Never mind what your manual says, don't bother to check your oil on the centerstand. 

There's no oil there. It's all in the engine, trust me.
